Nik Kosmas (b. USA 1985) is based between Berlin and Shanghai. His work is a physical, emotional and spiritual journey through technology, human experience, suffering and growth. Science fiction, sports practice, science, sex and psychology are fertile fields of research and inspiration for his practice. Kosmas has exhibited in the influential New Museum, NYC Triennial Younger than Jesus, as well as the 9th Berlin Biennial and the Padiglione Internet Pavilion, 53rd Venice Biennale, Ven- ice. His work was also featured in UCCA, Beijing’s Art Post-Internet exhibition and in Emerald City, K11, Hong Kong. He was formerly half of post-internet duo AIDS- 3D which helped to pioneer the Post-Internet and whose work is in such collections as Kunstverein Hannover. Kosmas has upcoming solo shows at Temnikova & Kasela Gallery, Tallin; a group show at König Gallery, Berlin, and he has guest edited a special section for Numéro, Berlin, which has been published in May 2022. |
